Thanks Tammy, to me a ‘home’ has to have a cat and despite living in a tropical place the word ‘hearth’ still conjurs up images of warmth and cozy winter fires. The timed challenge is a good exercise and although I don’t really like working against the clock you do really get into the project.

I love your quilt. that’s exactly what I think of when I hear “hearth and home” because I have many cats. I’m also intriqued by the timed challenge. I just might look for something like that to do myself.

Thanks Sandy, no, 8 hours isn’t much time but I suppose it does show just how much one can get done in that time if you really stick at it. I wouldn’t like to do it every day though.

Thanks Sally, I don’t know if I could do it again though; it was very intensive and I certainly felt a bit stressed towards the end when I didn’t think I’d finish in time! It was a really great challenge and got my brain working overtime, but I think I prefer really not having to work to such a strict time limit

Anne, your quilt is just amazing! What a brilliant idea! A journal quilt in 8 hours, and I thought I was very vewry clever to make one in a weekend!
