I seem to be on a roll at the moment and getting a lot of things done. I was really inspired by the exhibition I went to in England when I was back this year and I just feel that I want to do more, and better. This butterfly was something I've wanted to do for ages and ages but was never quite sure how best to approach it. I actually drew out the pattern before I went away and then although I didn't have anything in particular in mind, some of the hand dyed fabrics I bought at the quilt show turned out to be just perfect, one for the background and another with shades of brown to almost black,for the wings.
